When replacement makes sense
If the system is over 12 years old, uses R-22 refrigerant, costs more in repairs than the system is worth, can't keep up on hot days, or runs constantly without cooling well — replacement is usually the right call. We'll be straight about whether repair or replacement is the better economic answer for your specific situation.
How sizing works
We do a Manual J load calculation for your home, not a rule-of-thumb estimate. An oversized AC short-cycles, doesn't dehumidify well, and wears out faster. An undersized one runs all day and never quite cools. The right size depends on your home's square footage, insulation, window orientation, and ductwork — not just the unit it replaces.

Warranty
Manufacturer warranties on the equipment (typically 10 years parts, registered for you), plus 2-year labor warranty on the install itself.
